Three for five pounds?

Now it's very rare I have good well needed swatch up in my local boots and find some real gems, and lets just say after my well needed catch up in the beauty haul I found some hidden, affordable staples for all seasons...

I'm gonna be honest I'm a little bit of a eyeshadow newbie, in a sense until early this year I really was useless, I had a bad habit of buying shadows, and never even wearing them. Sadly I find the 'high street' a little worse for wear on shadows, apart from the famous colour tattoo's and those MUA and sleek palettes I don't ever see a lot of single shadows. However on my first real beauty haul in a few months where for once I had the time to swatch and experiment with shadows and the boyfriend wasn't moaning, I came across boot's natural collection brand. Not only was the colour selection choice impressive, but this including many a formula including double shadows, matte and metallic shades and being a keen fan of the natural collection blushers I was quick to snap up the '3 for £5' offer and test some out for real.

The shadows I chose were two metallic singles 'barley' a soft gold metallic shade with slight sparkle and a nice change from a white/silver in a corner highlight. Next up 'moss shimmer' is a colour which instantly reminded me of the ever so popular 'sumptuous olive' from mac, a soft green shadow with slight more pigmentation than olive with gold and silver sparkles running throughout.  Finally 'mocha/latte' I chose for the dark cool toned brown which is a cheaper alternative to my trusty 'charcoal brown' eyeshadow for my brows, I wouldn't say I lurrrrved the white with it being quite chalky however  would be a perfect base to make shadows stand out.

Overall I found the shadows to be up there with the quality of higher end products and a impressive amount of pigmentation which even some higher end shadows lack, not a lot of fall out, no chalky textures, no fragrance and let's be honest for the price the same as a drink and a packet of sweets they truly are a hidden gem.

Have you tried any natural collection products?
