Now, now don't get me wrong there's nothing I love more than an impressive and well deserved hyped beauty product for example, real techniques? Now the proud owner of the whole collection.. let's see if these USA gems are worth the wait..
Nevertheless, lets talk Baby-lips, up there on the most hyped 'Drugstore' product as the ever so famous Rimmel Apocalips.. These little cute neon lip balms/lip stains promised high pigmentation, super hydrating formulas' and another to add to the lipstick/lip balm hybrid collection slowly building up in my bedside table. So can you imagine my excitement to pop in to my local Superdrug for some cotton buds and a packet of fruit gums to see these cute neon lipsticks stacked right in-front of me with a eye catching three for 2 offer above, after a long and hard chat with myself I decided to only pick up the 'coloured' versions of the list instead of the plain ones as let's be honest nothing could compete with my love of the Nuxe lip balm.
So I chose 'Cherry Me' 'to review for the simple reason I lurrrrrrve the orange and pink packaging and that cherry drop/fake cherry smell, mmm. I was expecting great, great things (even expecting enough to use the word great twice it seems) as I ripped open the packet which might I add was somewhat difficult within moments of leaving the store to be left with no hydration and next to no colour even though weirdly this is the most pigmented colour. I not quite sure what I was expecting for the purse friendly £2.99 price tag, and after this I believe the balm just got threw to the bottom of my handbag and was collecting dust all till I decided to write this post.
I decided to re try this balms in great hope it would turn in to my dreamy lip combination which is MAC's pigmentation and Bourjois colour boost's moisture but no, still the same old slightly tinged lip balm but are perfect for lazy days and a little colour, and lets be honest the smell is worth the dissipointment.
Plenty more hypes in the sea hey?
